Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things (Philippians 4:6-8).
As college approaches (I leave Saturday!), I am becoming more and more anxious. But honestly, what is there to be anxious about? Okay, so maybe there are grades to worry about, living in a dorm, meeting new people, and so forth, but God is in control, and He knows what He’s doing. Even if things are difficult, everything is going to turn out just fine. I simply need to make my worries and fears known to God and trust that He will take care of them. There is so much more potential for good to come out of this new chapter in my life than there is for bad. I will finally be able to attend a biblical church. Hallelujah! I will have Chi Alpha and Campus Crusade to fellowship and grow with other believers on campus. I will hopefully make tons of friends, believers especially but hopefully unbelievers also, so I can be a witness to them. I have such high hopes. That doesn’t mean that I couldn’t use some prayer, though; it’s going to be a strange new experience for me. But I trust that it will not only be strange and new but transforming. I hope to grow immensely in my faith over the next four years. I don’t want to claim Christ; I want to actually follow Him. That’s my hope. That’s my prayer.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened… Matthew 7:7-8 if your interested.
it goes on to talk about how God only gives good gifts to his children. No worries ahead! You pray and seek to actually follow Christ this year? You got it!
Thanks for the comment, Ryan. I know and believe all that, but it certainly never hurts to hear it again.
